#694: Jagged Spear Village

Postcards of Azeroth: Jagged Spear Village, by Rioriel of theshatar.eu
The primal rhythm of beating drums and strange clouds of acrid smoke drift aloft
into the sky, signs of celebration and preparation for an impending offensive.

  1. I realise that's called Shadowprey Village in-game, but I already had a shot named that:

In the WoW Game Manual, the settlement is named 'Jagged Spear Village'

  2. Oh right! I came and looked at this earlier and it had me confused because I couldn't recall a 'Jagged Spear Village'. So I was thinking it was something new added in Cataclysm that I hadn't discovered yet :)

  3. Next time I'm going to go straight to the comments if I'm confused. I spent about 5 minutes staring at this wondering how I had missed this village although it looked strangely familiar!

  4. Ha, sorry, my apologies to you both. Had tried to respond earlier but I think I was out of 3G coverage on my iPhone and it never got posted.

I did wonder what to call the shot... I had added the provision of those neat little Deathwing icons to show shots AFTER the Cataclysm, but this area hadn't changed at all. I was trying to find a piece of flavour text to name the shot but nothing really grabbed me.

It kinda works in lore. That's my excuse!

    Made you click though ;)

  5. There is also something else that seems strange. The picture is inverted (is that the right word). Left became right, and right became left.

  6. Indeed, it's flipped horizontally. A few shots here and there get inverted for effect (:
