CHARITY #5: Rioriel Goes To The Zoo!

A little under a month ago I put up a donations button and invited fellow Warcraft bloggers to throw in a buck or five with the aim of pooling enough to be able to adopt a Red Panda from my local zoo, Marwell Wildlife. The Mists of Pandaria expansion looms on the horizon, and the female character models of the new Pandaren playable race closely resemble them. I thought it would be a nice gesture and get us all in the mood, and be able to spread some charity cheer.

CHARITY #3: Adoption Update

Hai! Quick heads up on where we're at with the red panda adoption. I was away last week for a few days, but during that time Marwell Wildlife telephoned  for confirmation of what name(s) I wanted used on the adoption certificate and on display at the visitors' enclosure. I asked for Postcards From Azeroth.com for both. The latest is that I'm just waiting for the adoption pack to arrive, and as soon as it does I'll take photos, and let you all know when I can go and visit.

Thanks to everyone who donated, it was a warmly-received idea. Soon as I get to Marwell and can take photos of the red panda(s), I'll contact some WoW news sites and Blizzard and see if they're interested in running an article.

CHARITY #2: We've Adopted A Red Panda!

A huge thank you to everyone who donated over the week, we've hit the first goal and earlier this afternoon I sent the order to Marwell Wildlife for adoption of a red panda.

I'll post more details as soon as the adoption pack arrives, and I'll show everyone what's inside it as well as the certificate we get. Can't wait to go to Marwell and meet the fluffy little lump (will post photos)!

I'll keep donations open as we're getting some great traffic, and hopefully we will be able to adopt others from Marwell. Thanks to everyone who has RT'd the appeal too!
